Allen Glied, DDS, FACS
Dr. Allen Glied is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who has focused his area of practice on corrective jaw surgery, reconstruction of the jaws including the Temporomandibular Joints (TMJ).
Dr. Glied graduated from The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario’ in 2003. Following graduation, Dr. Glied completed a residency in Advanced Dentistry at McGill University /The Montreal Jewish General Hospital.
In 2004, Dr. Glied moved to New York City to pursue his passion for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Glied has continuously maintained practice in Corrective Jaw Surgery (Orthognathic Surgery) Complex Facial Trauma and Reconstruction. He has been heavily involved in resident training programs including, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Dental Anesthesia, and General Dentistry.
Dr. Glied was the Chief of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital and is actively involved in Leadership within the specialty.
He maintains his appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at CUNY School of Medicine and lectures regularly on topics in his field ranging from Corrective Jaw Surgery, Jaw Reconstruction to management of pathology and is involved in ongoing research.
Dr. Glied lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife, two sons and golden retriever
